One morning in 1997, I woke up with the word "many waters" in my mind. I had been asking the Spirit for understanding about the ministry I had been called to live into. With years of listening prayer & journaling, this what I have come to know .......ManyWaters is about the flow of life within each and every person. It is about their unique sound - their true voice, unique expression and gift to the world around them. It is about respecting the God-given identity of every culture, tribe, and nation, and encouraging their voice to be heard.
ManyWaters is all about creating environments for that life within to flow and extend outwards for the betterment of all and the glory of the Source of all life, our Creator. John 7:3-7
There is a Sound of many waters that refreshes, renews, restores, and rejoices. It is described throughout scripture, alive today, and will extend through eternity.
I resonate best with Revelation 14:2, "And I heard a sound from heaven like the roar of rushing waters and like a loud peal of thunder. The sound I heard was like that of harpists playing their harps. And they sang a new song before the throne..." As I consider this, my prayer back to my Creator is that every language, tribe, and nation will one day join together in unity and praise.
Learning about Indigenous Ministry
I have been intentionally learning about and serving in ministry opportunities with Native people since the mid-90's. This focus for ministry started through a vision I had and words I heard in my spirit. The spiritual awareness of this experience stayed with me in such a manner that I had to follow what I believed was the Spirit's leading. Today I lead and facilitate retreats and day gatherings, where people across ethnicity and religious backgrounds connect, learn about one another, and as relationships build, hearts unite and work together for their mutual benefit.
